Mark D. Ramirez is Assistant Professor at the School of Politics and Global Studies at Arizona State University. He received his Ph.D. in political science from Texas A&M University. He previously served as a fellow at the Center for Empirical Research in the Law at Washington University in Saint Louis. His research focuses on questions relating to public opinion, representation, political communication, race and politics, and research methodology. His research appears in the American Journal of Political Science, Criminology, Journal of Politics, Political Behavior, Political Psychology, Public Opinion Quarterly, and Race & Justice. Professor Ramirez is the recipient of the Warren E. Miller Scholarship from the Interuniversity Consortium of Political and Social Research and a research fellowship from the Ford Foundation.
