Representative David Steil has combined some 30 years of public service, while often, simultaneously, holding senior management positions in manufacturing and distribution. His public service experience included 14 years in municipal government and 16 years in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, where he was known for his expertise in land use planning and taxation. Representative Steil was active in the National Conference of State Legislators for over 10 years and served for three years on its Board of Directors. Currently he continues his passion for developing policy initiatives in several areas, especially health care and is the Pennsylvania Coordinator for the national No Labels movement. Steil is also the owner of a small manufacturing company developing instrumentation and air filtration products for the environmental industry. He has two grown children with his wife Kaaren. The two recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
