The National Institute for Civil Discourse’s Executive Director Keith Allred shared insights with members of the the Select Committee on the Modernization of Congress. He discussed how Congress can engage more meaningfully with citizens, including with those who are unengaged. The challenges facing the US requires a responsive government and the Modernization Committee is a powerful example of legislators working together.
On May 11, the Select Committee on the Modernization of Congress invited Allred to speak at a roundtable discussion with experts on civic engagement to explore opportunities to make it easier for every American to engage with the Legislative Branch.
