Representative Sharon Wylie is currently serving her third term in the Washington House of Representatives. Prior to her appointment in 2011, she was the Government Relations Officer for Clark County and several other county and transportation organizations in Washington State. Representative Wylie is a member of the NCSL Communications, Financial Services and Interstate Commerce Committee. She was also one of 48 state policymakers from across the country selected as a Council of State Governments’ Henry Toll Fellow for the class of 2013. The National Institute for Civil Discourse included Representative Wylie in its 2014 Facilitator Training for its Next Generation Program that serves to increase civil and effective problem solving in state legislative bodies around the country. Representative Wylie has been married for more than 35 years to Ted Gathe, former Vancouver City Attorney. They have adult twin daughters and one grandson.
