Representative Graig Meyer

North Carolina Representative

Representative Graig Meyer represents House District 50 in the North Carolina House. He is also a co-founder and principal consultant with The Equity Collaborative, LLC. Representative Meyer has provided guidance and support to schools and youth-serving non-profits across the United States and Canada. From 1998 through 2014, Meyer was the coordinator of the Blue Ribbon Mentor-Advocate program. From 2012 through 2014, he also served as the Director of Student Equity for the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools. Representative Meyer has extensive experience with policy and staff development initiatives designed to end institutionalized racism and promote educational equity and excellence. Meyer is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the College of Wooster, and was trained as a social worker at the University of Chicago’s School of Social Service Administration. He is the father of Ashley, Mason, and William and the husband of Jennifer Meyer. His civic involvement includes work with the North Carolina and Orange County Democratic Parties, his children’s schools and numerous non-profit organizations.
