NICD Joins Partnership for American Democracy to Support Transformative Change for the Renewal of Democracy

The nonpartisan nonprofit will launch during July 1 event featuring remarks from Condoleezza Rice, Gen. Stanley McChrystal, former members of Congress

 

July 1, 2021. NICD is proud to join the Partnership for American Democracy, aLaunch Event: July 1 new collective voice for change determined to renew democracy by unleashing the power of American ingenuity. Bonnie LePard, NICD’s Deputy Director, is the Co-Chair of the Bridge Building Pillar, whose aim is to bridge cultural and political divides.

American democracy is more fragile than ever. In this moment of division and dysfunction, the Partnership for American Democracy is bringing together American leaders capable of making transformative change for the renewal of American democracy. To launch the partnership, a cross-sector, cross-partisan array of leaders will join together on July 1 to discuss the next chapter of America’s future and bring the Partnership for American Democracy to life.

“As we celebrate 245 years of independence, it is clear more than ever – we the people get to decide what future for America we will create, together,” says Keith Allred, Director of NICD. “We are honored to be a part of this project that will work to overcome divisions that weaken the American promise.”
